About the Job
Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations to determine physical therapy needs.
- Diagnose and develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.
- Utilize various physical therapy techniques, such as exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, to improve patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies to enhance recovery and prevent future injuries.
- Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and advancements in physical therapy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.
Physical Therapy Assistant Knowledge & Experience:
- State licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting (experience in orthopedics is preferred. Women’s health is an added plus).
- Strong understanding of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Basic computer skills for documentation.
Pay Rate & Schedule:
- Part-Time (Potential for full time in the near future)
- $25/hour
