POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the delivery of direct therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to help patients achieve a maximum level of functional independence. Services provided in patient’s place of residence (i.e., home, assisted living facility) which requires reliable transportation.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy Assistant with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree.


• Holds a current Connecticut Physical Therapy Assistant license.


• CPR Certification


• 3 years of recent outpatient physical therapy experience preferred

COMPETENCIES:

• This position requires an individual with strong communicative skills, both verbal and written and basic use of Microsoft Windows based programs requiring keyboard skills for use of department specific screens and programs.


• Must have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites; and travel is required in order to perform essential duties.
