Physical Therapy Front Desk Admin Assistant - FULL TIME
The ideal candidate has some post high school education or training and two years of experience in a position of similar responsibility (front desk, administrative assistant, etc.), preferably in a medical office. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong administrative and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with medical billing and/or record keeping is a plus.
- Greets all patients and visitors in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
- Manages inbound phone inquiries and routes calls accordingly
- Schedules and confirms patient appointments
- Manages schedules for the therapists at the practice
- Maintains patient EMR charts
- Helps with patient billing and insurance
- Provides administrative assistance as needed
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Maintaining referrals and authorizations for our patients
- Responsible for collecting Copays/Patient Balances
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
- Highly professional and dependable
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent telephone skills
- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite
- Medical billing and/or medical record keeping experience a plus
