_*JOB SUMMARY:*_
_Therapy Clinical Manager: The Therapy Clinical Manager is responsible for the clinic’s mission, vision, and values to the Physical Therapy Department. This is a “working” Therapy Clinical Manager role where approximately 80-90%% of their time will be spent treating patients and the other 10-20% spent on administrative duties related to the therapy department. The Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all aspects related to the department. The Manager will report to the clinic Practice Manager. _
_*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*_
* _Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy_
* _Must be a licensed physical therapist in the state of Alabama. _
* _1-2 years of management experience in a physical therapy setting_
* _3 years of experience in the medical field, orthopedic background preferred_
_*SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:*_
* _Ability to manage, supervise, and lead a team efficiently _
* _Ability to effectively and accurately communicate with clinic staff and providers_
* _Understanding of the insurance and prior authorization process_
* _Ability to efficiently use an EMR (electronic medical record) for patient charting_
* _Knowledge of the EMR’s Practice Management software_
* _Must be tech savvy with advanced computer skills_
* _Quick learner of new processes and software applications_
* _Capable of multi-tasking between operations and patient care_
* _Good communication skills to interact with patients, physicians and outside parties by telephone or in person_
* _Ability to follow pre-established procedures and protocols from providers _
* _Understanding of the medical billing process and coding as it relates to physical therapy treatments. _
_*SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*_
* _Ability to offer treatments that help improve the patients’ motion and mobility to full functionality_
* _Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques_
* _Provide quality and personalized care to the patient and treatment area(s)_
* _Consult and communicate with referring providers_
* _Document, dictate, and chart patient encounters on a daily basis. _
* _Ability to evaluate, hire, train, and manage staff effectively. _
* _Work with an administrative team that can schedule all incoming new patient referrals efficiently and effectively._
* _Responsible for leading a team that verifies insurance, deductibles, and prior authorizations for patient visits. _
* _Attend Management Team meetings _
* _Provide monthly reporting and analytics of key physical therapy metrics_
* _Ensure growth and profitability of the department. _
* _Perform other duties as requested by the Practice Manager._
_Job Type: Full-time Monday thru Friday _
