Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough physical exams, assess health status, and diagnose common acute and chronic conditions. Provide preventative care, health education, and lifestyle counseling.
- Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians. Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
- Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work, x-rays, and other imaging studies. Provide follow-up care and treatment adjustments based on test results.
- Health Management: Manage patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma. Promote disease prevention and health maintenance strategies.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about managing health conditions, preventive care, and treatment options. Encourage adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including specialists, nurses, and administrative staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
