Physician Assistant - Hospital - GHR Healthcare

Overview: GHR is seeking an Interventional Cardiology PA-C to work a full-time, 6-month locums assignment in San Francisco, CA! 

The Adult Cardiac Catheterization Lab PA has clinical and procedural responsibilities for inpatient and outpatient heart procedures performed in the cardiac cath lab. The APP has a critical role in assisting the fellows and attendings with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care responsibilities for procedural patients. These responsibilities will include pre-operative evaluation, assessment, obtaining history and physicals, consenting patients, scrubbing during procedures, oversight of care transitions, discharge planning and teaching, and performance of specific procedures.

• Weekly Pay Range: $6,094 - $6,771

• Duration: 26 weeks
• Shift: 10 Hour Days
• Hours Per Week:  40

Job Requirements:

• Required Skills: Any kind of procedural surgical experience where you're assisting in the OR will be considered. The APP will be taking on the role of a fellow and performing the same duties – pre-op, post-op orders, post-op follow-up, addressing medical concerns patients might have. MUST be willing to scrub/circulate in procedures, which is most critical. Position is highly procedural-based. 
• Education: Masters in Physician Assistant Studies
• # of years’ experience: 2 yrs’ experience related to adult cardiothoracic/cardiovascular patient care experience as a PA and/or minimum 1 years of adult ICU experience as a physician assistant in a Cardiothoracic ICU/Coronary Care Unit/Cardiovascular ICU setting.
• Must have active CA license & active AHA BLS/ACLS at time of presentation. Active CA DEA.
