Full Job Description:
Seeking an orthopedic nurse practitioner or orthopedic physician assistant who is specialized as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant that focuses on the care and treatment of patients suffering from musculoskeletal issues. These can include disease and/or injuries of the bones, muscles, joints, and supporting connective tissue.
This role will be to provide office orthopedic treatment for fracture and soft tissue injuries, osteoarthritis, acute spine injuries and other general orthopedic concerns. Applicant will work alongside an experienced orthopedist. We have a strong presence in the Orthopedic industry with a reputation for detail and the respect of our communities.

Educational Background:
Certification or Eligible for Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant (Required)
- Have at least two years of experience as an APRN/ ARNP/ PA.
- Hold at least a master's degree in nursing with preparation as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
Basic Qualifications:
- Graduate of approved Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant program that meets Tennessee state licensure requirements.
- Thorough and working knowledge of Orthopedic diseases and injuries and their treatment. ( Preferred).
- Working knowledge of Tennessee state health care laws, licensing board regulations and controlled substance regulations.
- Ability to assess, diagnose and plan effective treatment for orthopedic diseases and injuries.
Responsibilities will include:
- Provide direct assessment, diagnosis, and formulation/implementation of a treatment plan for patients presenting with orthopedic illness or injury in the clinic.
- History and physical.
- Pre and post-operative exams. Significant time is spent handling patient inquiries regarding preoperative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications.
- Instruct, educate, and counsel patients.
- Perform any duties that will expedite the function of the office and enhance patient care.
