About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team at a Level II trauma center in Bakersfield, CA. This full-time position involves working closely with our team of surgeons to manage inpatient care, assist in the operating room, and provide follow-up care in our on-site clinic.
Key Responsibilities: The APP will work 10-hour shifts from 7 am to 5 pm on weekdays only. The role includes practicing within a fully-equipped outpatient vascular clinic and assisting in both inpatient endovascular and open surgery as well as cases at the outpatient surgery center. The APP will manage a variety of vascular conditions, including peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, dialysis access, and carotid disease. Duties also include conducting elective and post-operative vascular clinics, performing inpatient rounds and consults, and assisting in the operating room.
Requirements: Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience working as a PA-C or NP in Vascular Surgery, with the ability to build rapport with patients and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Board certification and relevant licensure are required.
