About the Job
We are actively seeking a Primary Care Physician who will provide comprehensive health care to residents at the Nursing Home.Physicians responsibilities:Performs initial assessment, including a comprehensive history and physical, of assigned participants at intake and at least quarterly in cooperation with family members and/or caregivers and Interdisciplinary Team members.Provides evaluation, treatment, and ongoing monitoring of episodic illness.Refers participants to medical specialists as indicated with Interdisciplinary Team input.Provides daily oversight of hospitalized participants including providing primary care (attending) responsibilities for management; providing updates to the team; coordinating discharge planning with the Interdisciplinary Team.The need for physicians is growing by the day and the shortage of physicians is affecting our most vulnerable citizens, our SENIORS!Most physicians like you would rather be doing what they love which is helping and not dealing with insurance companies and the bureaucracy of large healthcare systems.
