Outstanding opportunity for a BE/BC OB-GYN with strong leadership skills to be Chairperson of an Obstetrics and Gynecology Department in southwestern Connecticut.

• We are looking for a charismatic chair with strong leadership skills and expertise in team building, programmatic development, and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Strong Obstetrical skills are necessary.
• Reporting to the Vice President of Medical Affairs, the Chair leads the Obstetrics & Gynecology department, overseeing safety, quality, and service of the department, as well as development of the Departmental plan, goals and objectives.
• In addition, the Chair is the primary teacher and site director for the Ob/Gyn part of the Residency Program.

• 500 gynecologic procedures are performed annually including gyn oncology and a urogynecology.
• Medical Center performs 1500 deliveries per year with a level 3a neonatal intensive care unit
• We are a primary teaching hospital, teaching medical students and physician assistant students.
• The unit caters to a diverse community and three groups of independent physicians.
