Job Summary:Job Summary: Essen is currently seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians in all Specialties; for All regions, within our Office, Urgent Care, House Calls & Nursing Home Divisions. We have openings in varies locations: Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Poughkeepsie, Long Island & Westchester County. We are an expanding primary care team and provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services.
The House Calls Physician provides comprehensive medical care to patients in their homes, focusing on those with limited mobility or access to traditional healthcare settings. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work independently while coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care services within the standard of care for House Call patients.
- Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical history, physical condition, and medication usage during home visits.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, including prescribing medications as appropriate.
- Coordination of Care: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including specialists and nurses, to ensure continuity of care.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about health management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to improve health outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all home visits, including assessments, treatments, and follow-up plans.
- Emergency Response: Address urgent medical needs as they arise during home visits and provide referrals as necessary.
- Travel: Manage a schedule of home visits, traveling to patients’ locations within the designated service area.
- Support Services: Assist in arranging additional services for patients, such as physical therapy, lab tests, or home health nursing.
- Medical Doctor(MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic(DO) degree from an accredited United States medical school
- Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution or completed a US residency or 5 year pathway
- Active NY License
- Current New York State Medical Practitioner License
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing. I’m guessing they can get this during the credentialing process
- Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting
- Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization

- salary: $150,000-$200,000
Work Environment:
- Primarily operates in patients' homes, which may include varying living conditions.
- May require travel within a designated geographic area.
- May involve flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate patient needs.
