Job Summary:
Excellent opportunity for a Rehab PM&R physician to join the inpatient rehab units for Johnston-Willis Hospital. Johnston-Willis’ therapist-to-patient ratio is lower than the national average, providing patients with individualized care and encouragement. They offer highly qualified specialists ranging from doctors, nurses, social workers/case managers to coordinate and assure patients receive the necessary treatments and therapies.Qualified Candidates:
- Must be board eligible or board certified in their specialty
- Board eligible candidates still in training must be scheduled for their boards
- Must be energetic and motivated
- Virginia licensure or ability to obtain
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration
The unit treats patients (age 18 or older) with a range of conditions, including:
- Stroke
- Post-operative cardiac conditions
- Cancer
- Orthopedic injuries
- Amputations
- Brain injury
- Neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s
- Compensation package range $310K - $360K
- After-hours call covered by hospital-based internists
- Propretary billing process minimizes administrative tasks
- 1 in 4 weekend call
