As we expand our Graduate Medical Education programs, we are excited to announce the launch of our OB/GYN Residency Program. We are seeking a visionary leader to serve as our OB/GYNResidency Program Director in partnership with a local FQHC practice. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape an innovative residency program from the ground up, ensuring the next generation of OB/GYN physicians are well-equipped to serve diverse patient populations with excellence.

Position Summary:
As the OB/GYN Residency Program Director, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop our brand-new residency program in Salisbury, MD. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in graduate medical education, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to advancing the field of women’s health. You will oversee the design, implementation, and management of the program, ensuring compliance with ACGME accreditation standards and fostering an environment that promotes learning, research, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, accreditation, and implementation of the OB/GYN residency program.
• Oversee the recruitment, selection, and mentoring of residents, ensuring a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Ensure the program meets ACGME standards and maintains accreditation by fostering a robust curriculum and structured rotations.
• Collaborate with faculty and healthcare professionals to enhance clinical training and provide leadership in curriculum development.
• Evaluate and support resident performance, ensuring they are equipped to meet milestones and competency requirements.
• Promote scholarly activity among residents and faculty by encouraging research, presentations, and publications.
• Foster a culture of professionalism, diversity, and inclusion, while serving as a role model for faculty and residents.
• Develop strong relationships with TidalHealth leadership and affiliate institutions to ensure integration of educational goals with clinical practice.
• Engage in clinical practice as appropriate, while dedicating sufficient time to the administrative and educational needs of the program.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Maryland.
• Must include specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, or qualifications acceptable to the Review Committee.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, education, and research.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a commitment to mentorship and fostering resident development.
• Experience with ACGME accreditation processes and residency program leadership is highly desirable.
• A passion for advancing women’s health, medical education, and promoting innovative care models.
