Description:
Genesis Medical Center is looking for a locum-to-perm OB/GYN physician to start ASAP and cover 1 week per month, ongoing!
Coverage needed ASAP-ongoing. If an offer is accepted, the facility will only confirm dates once provider is 90% completed with credentialing to avoid push starts or cancellations. Please make sure your provider is aware before submitting for name clear.
MUST have strong OB and GYN experience.
Monday-Friday 8a - 5p, and 1:3 call(nights and weekends)
Setting: Clinic, hospital, and call
Total number of beds: 15
No APPs at this time
Support staff: medical assistant, RN, sonographer
2-3 exam rooms
Onsite lab and ultrasound
Basic OB/GYN services including colpo
About 50/50 low risk vs. high risk pregnancies
60% of practice is GYN
EMR: Cerner
Additional information and required procedures listed in attached practice description
Cred timeframe: 30-90 days
Client will grant Temp Privileges. Genesis Medical Center requires Case Logs for the past 2 years during credentialing. If a provider does not have 2 years of both OB and GYN case logs, they are not eligible for Temp Privileges.
*Please Note: Trinity Health does not reimburse for any application or credentialing fees.
Call Requirements:
Provider must be willing/able to do both OB and GYN call.
The facility s weekend call is from 8 am Saturday through 8 am Monday. Provider must be able to commit to these times.
Provider cannot be greater than 30 minutes from the hospital during their call commitments.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Board Certified or Eligible - Required
IL license or IMLC - highly preferred
NRP - Required
Must be available to offer 1 week per month - Required
Must have strong OB and GYN experience - Required, note years of experience at time of name clear
List providers expectations on the transition to perm (how long would they like to work as a locum first) - list at time of name clear
Local providers are highly preferred
Please remind your provider that Genesis requires Case Logs for the past 2 years. If Provider does not have 2 years of OB/GYN Case Logs, they are not eligible for Temp Privileges and will need Full Privileges before they can start.
