About the Job
The Department of Ophthalmology at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine (BUCASM)/Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist-Cornea and Anterior Segment Specialist at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
The position would provide the opportunity to perform a wide variety of surgical procedures, including all types of corneal transplantation, cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, corneal collagen crosslinking and more. Experience in teaching and prior academic productivity are desirable.
Our mission is to provide "exceptional care without exception" to a diverse patient population in Boston, as well as several suburban satellite offices, and the Veterans Healthcare System. We offer state-of-the-art equipment, an ambulatory surgery center, and a newly renovated clinical care facility. Ours is a large, urban academic practice with all subspecialties represented among our faculty members. Applicants must have a commitment to outstanding clinical care, education, and research.
Requirements:
Candidates must have completed an approved residency training program in ophthalmology, an approved fellowship in Cornea and External Disease and be board certified or board eligible. Prior experience in an academic health-care setting is desirable although not required. Salary and rank will be determined according to experience.
