Physician (Orthopedic Surgery) - Defense Health Agency Civilian Corps, Falls Church, VA

This position is located in the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

As a Physician (Orthopedic Surgery) your duties will include, but are not limited to: 

• Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur to individuals presented for care.
• Manage extremely difficult outpatient, inpatient and operative orthopedic cases and make expert recommendations to the orthopedic surgeons.
• Provide education and training to technicians, physicians, physician assistants, and therapists.
• Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending appropriate referrals to other health care providers.
• Responsible for all administrative activities normally associated with patient care in a hospital setting.

Board certified 

Required to be a graduate of a medical school approved by the Council of Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Hospital Association or completed a Fifth Pathway Program.

Completed an applicable internship and residency in an accredited U.S. Medical Specialty Training Program.

Required to be Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified; certification must be maintained at all times.

Must possess a current valid, full and unrestricted license in one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
