Seasonal Full time/ 20.00-22.00 per hour plus Lesson and Events Commissions
This position requires an enthusiastic, engaged welcoming type of individual who has experience in developing a fast growing Pickleball program. This individual must be attuned to the needs of the members and is an excellent communicator. This individual is instrumental in organizing & introducing the Pickle ball program to members and guests and who can teach lessons, organize inter-club play, and supervise open play.
Essential functions
- Highly visible, accessible, energetic and dynamic leader.
- Must be highly organized and possesses strong programming & administrative skills.
- Is proactive and self-motivated in developing, executing and monitoring a Pickle ball program.
- Provide a variety of instruction for all play levels including "Shot Specific" Clinics.
- Supervise & direct the show up & play days while ensuring fun & meaningful play.
- Organize practices, coach team and supervise inter-club league team(s) matches.
- Create, organize and supervise a weekly Intra-Club league.
- Develop a programming schedule with consultation from the Director of Racquet Sports.
- Meet with Pickle ball committee monthly during season to discuss recommended ideas.
- Follow the USA pickle ball rulebook.
- Create & direct "fun" monthly programming: such as All Gender Doubles Club Championships, Jingle Balls Holiday Ladder Tournament, and Pickle & Pizza events.
- Custom fit & recommend members & guests with appropriate paddles.
- Must maintain and record daily "court usage" attendance for club records.
- Monitor the "new" court reservation, instruction and event signup app.
- Notify Director of Racquet Sports immediately if courts need repair or there is a capital improvement that is required.
- Ensure water removal equipment is on site and in good working condition.
- Promote Pickle ball program and upcoming events thru weekly membership EBlasts, Racquet Sports activity booklet, & digital Signage
- Enforce sportsmanship & Pickle ball etiquette: Treat fellow members, guests, opponents and Quail Ridge staff with respect and handle victory & defeat with grace, style & dignity.
- Must be punctual, reliable, trustworthy, professional & organized.
- Assist inside Racquet Sports Pro Shop if needed.
- Perform any other duties and/or tasks as directed by Director of Racquet Sports.

- Usage of and safe operation of the following (Service, Mule, Brutus Roller, court Pac Roller, and golf cart).
- Ability to lift merchandise boxes, pickle balls, and tennis items.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate with members.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, stand and push, pull, move, and lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
- Must be guest service oriented and able to ensure our guests/members are handled with the utmost courtesy and professionalism.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with guest/members and co-workers.
- Able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Adhere to Quail Ridge dress and grooming standards.
- Adhere to Quail Ridge emergency procedures.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time without sitting or leaning. 
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to follow directions accurately.
- Must have proven ability to develop, grow and market new and innovative programming for adults and children alike.
- Ability to play and teach tennis requiring standing, running, directional movements, swinging of racquet and holding of multiple tennis balls for at least 8 hours straight per day.
Education and experience
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent required.
- Two years college preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of Pickleball instruction experience required.
- Pickle ball teaching or professional certification a plus.
- Two plus years of business operations experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to assist with directing staff.
- Regularly required to stand; walk, and perform athletic movements.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Previous country club and/or hospitality experience preferred.
- Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills required.
- CPR certification/First Aid/AED certification required.
- Ability to play and teach tennis requiring standing, running, directional movements, swinging of racquet and holding of multiple tennis balls for at least 8 hours straight per day.
