92NY’s Athletics division is seeking an experienced and professional Pickleball instructor to help build our ever-growing pickleball program, along with delivering classes, private lessons, and workshops to the community on-site at 92NY. We are willing to train the right individual to teach Pickleball as well. No minimum hours and competitive pay. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and expand a currently existing program. Our pickleball programs sell out fast and there are plenty of teaching opportunities!
Job Responsibilities Include:- Teaching pickleball classes, private lessons, and clinics for youth, teens, and adults; possibility of supporting pickleball leagues as well.
- Responsible for ensuring proper equipment is ordered and maintained with support from the Director of Sports & Leagues.
- Responsible for keeping attendance of all classes and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all.
- Responsible for greeting all patrons with a positive attitude and always representing the 92NY Pickleball program in a professional manner.
- May be requested to support with promotional events or social media campaigns as needed.
- Responsible for supporting patrons understanding of the rating system and supporting their overall goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Appropriate certifications or coursework preferred.
- Willing to train athletics coaches in how to teach Pickleball!
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience teaching groups of at least 4-8 plus people at one time (or willingness to learn)
- Must have experience teaching pickleball classes for long-term semesters, private lessons, and one-off workshops.
- Must be able to provide curriculum for the program with flexibility to adapt based on the needs of the community.
- Ability to work with adults highly preferred.

Per Diem Compensation Range
$50 - $65/hour
The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
