Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Piping Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical design and be proficient in various design software. This role involves creating detailed piping designs and schematics that meet project specifications and industry standards. The Piping Designer will collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure the successful execution of projects.
Duties
Create, review, or revise product or pipe support plans & specifications.
Design components for new or existing products or applications.
Ensure accuracy of drawings & bills of materials generated by CADD/ Designers.
Work in a team environment to ensure accuracy & provide quality work.
Participate in meetings & work closely with estimating, manufacturing, OL, production & customer personnel to ensure quality design of new or redesigned products.
Ensure that design ideas are sound & in keeping with budgetary constraints.
Ability to work with support Modeler, MicroStation & PDMS, 2D & 3D environments Auto CAD.
Perform other tasks & duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Certification / Diploma in AutoCAD
5+ years experience in 3-D modeling environment working specifically on pipe supports.
Associates Degree in Industrial Design or Engineering preferred.
Knowledgeable of Industry Safety & Procedural requirements.
Working knowledge of and/or experience with ASME 31.1 & Section 8 Nuclear requirements desired.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Excellent Oral/Written Communication and Creative problem-solving skills.
