Pipe Support Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline.
- 1 or more years of experience working in a 3D model environment.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.
- Knowledge of AISC and ASME B31.3 and other relevant industry codes and standards
- Experience using a piping support structural analysis program.
Preferred
- P.E. license.
- Previous Bechtel, DoD, and/or DoE project experience.
- Previous experience with GTStrudel.
- Previous experience using pipe support modeling software.
Cimarron is seeking Pipe Support Engineers to support the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) program. The ML2 will be used, like the first mobile launcher, as the platform for assembling and testing the Space Launch System (SLS) in the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center, transporting the rocket to Launch Complex 39B, and supporting the vehicle's launch. The platform includes various interfaces for fueling the rocket, providing power and data, and a crew access arm. This opportunity is a hybrid role and will allow for some remote work (i.e. work from home a few days a week). For candidates not local to the KSC area, per diem is available.
Key Duties:
- Locate and design supports for various piping systems in a 3D model environment and perform associated calculations.
- Work closely with layout personnel and pipe stress engineers to deliver quality, cost-effective designs.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines.
