Primary Purpose: Perform and coordinate work group activities including patrolling, locating, construction inspection, and excavation inspection of CO2 and Crude pipelines. Also responsible for operations and maintenance of Crude Oil Tanks.
Essential duties and responsibilities: - Surveillance and maintenance of facilities.
- Locate and mark facilities per Company Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during encroachments and excavation.
- •Coordinate local Damage Prevention activities.
- Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with Company procedures of excavation activities near pipeline facilities.
- Represent the Company during contacts with landowner/tenants, public officials/emergency officials and at local meetings. (One Call, Pipeline Groups, Soil Conservation, USFS, etc.)
- Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required (e.g., personnel in progression, transport drivers, contractors, visitors)
- Follow all EHS procedures and practices
- Be able to identify safety hazards
- Maintain good standing with all required training
- Participate in pipeline public awareness programs and emergency drills
- Respond to pipeline emergencies such as spills, outages, power failures, etc.
- Launch and receive pipeline scraper pigs
- Maintain, repair, and operate valves and pumps
- Assist with regulatory audits
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience / specific knowledge: - Must have completed at least one (1) year at Pipeline Operator 1 or industry equivalent
Certifications, licenses, registrations: - Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by the company and a current, valid State driver’s license
- Subject to random drug testing
- Must pass applicable OQ tasks as required

- Follow work procedures independently on less routine tasks or more complex equipment/processes

Physical demands:
- Driving in remote & congested areas
- Working outside in extreme weather
