Job Opening: Piping Designer in Alpharetta, GA
Selectek has a 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity for a Piping Designer to join a boutique Engineering Firm in Alpharetta, GA. This role involves designing piping systems, creating general equipment layouts, developing P&IDs, and conducting field walkdowns for chemical plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and layout of piping systems and equipment.
- Perform field walkdowns and take measurements within the plant (flame retardant clothing required).
- Read and interpret P&IDs.
- Engage in both conceptual design and modifications.
- Detail concrete foundations and structural steel supports (experience preferred but not required).
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Piping Design (industrial/process).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D (Plant3D).
- Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
