POSITION SUMMARY:
Mid-level piping designer utilizing P3D. This position requires a passionate individual who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership for project work, and exhibits a high level of personal leadership. Long term desire work in piping and related field required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (Required) and AutoCAD Plant 3D (Required)
- Proficiency with Navisworks Freedom/Simulate/Manage (Preferred)
- Knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Create, read, comprehend, and interpret P&IDs, PFDs, detailed Mechanical/Piping layouts, and Isometrics to eliminate errors during fabrication
- Exceptional draftsmanship and application of best practices within an Autodesk environment is a must
- Ability to produce fabrication, assembly and installation drawings containing high quality that can be built, bought, and constructed from is essential
- Create, read, and comprehend line, manual valve, and site tie-in lists
- Print and pre-check all piping isometric’s and related drawings needed for shop fabrication
- Assemble fabrication and installation drawing packages
- Update drawings using rough sketches and/or requests from engineer / designer
- Check equipment and other piping components from cut sheets to verify accuracy
- Check drawings for the correct dimension, adherence to codes, specifications and standards required
- May take lead on assigned design projects
- Ability to learn from your mistakes
- Ability to follow and enforce ROESLEIN CAD Standards/ROESLEIN Pipe specs
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in an office and an uncontrolled atmosphere.Exposure to harsh conditions—such as:dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible.Must be able to travel to jobsites both domestically and internationally; living accommodations in some foreign assignments may not meet expected U.S. standards.All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

SKILL / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or a related degree is preferred
- 5-7 years’ experience as a CAD drafter or designer
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Self-directed and forward thinking with a strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills
- Ability to learn hands-on with attention to detail and an ability to multi-task and work cross-discipline
- Ability to represent ROESLEIN in a professional, ethical and socially responsible manner
- Respectful of others, regardless of their position
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously with varying scope and effectively prioritize workload to ensure deliverables are met
- Ability to work with shop/fabrication lead to discuss design constructability concerns in an efficient, constructive manner
