GENERAL FUNCTION
The Supply Chain Planner is under the EOA Supply Chain Department, reporting directly to the Planning Manager. This position will be responsible for supporting the ELOA Base Lab network by managing the labs replenishment parameters, improving inventory management through analysis, best practices, and being the interface between Supply Chain and the lab network; ultimately with the goal to improve service to the customer by limiting inventory shortages in the lab network.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensuring service level to our customers by updating labs replenishment to optimal levels.
Work closely with upstream planning and forecast teams to align on downstream lab demand.
Supply risk review to maintain service by leveraging availability and product portfolio and placing manual order and coordinating with DC and Planning teams to expedite when necessary.
Material substitution and closely work with routing teams ensure lens availability is aligned with routing strategy.
New product introduction by creating new stocking orders, setting system replenishment parameters, coordinating with upstream/downstream teams, and planning for discontinuation to limit excess.
Work with obsolescence mgr and labs on reducing overall obsolescence exposure
Monitor essential KPI's and develop/execute corrective actions when outside established boundaries
Work with lab GM's and ROD's on process improvement action plan based on inventory analysis
Maximize the use of produced lenses through analysis of consumption and product availability
Monitor and analyze short ordering and identify areas of improvement.
Team with inventory finance teams to promote best practices on cycle counts and limit manual transacting to improve inventory accuracy
Collaborate with systems team to enhance or trouble shoot any order flow related processes.
Participation in Supply Chain projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business is required; equivalent experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
0-3 year's experience in Inventory/Production Planning functions is required
0-3 year's experience in DRP/MRP systems.
Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize work and perform under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
Advanced Excel skills in pivot tables, complex functions and formulas for detailed analysis
Hourly Rate: XX32.40.
Shift 8 am-5 pm with an hour lunch. Team normally takes lunch at noon.
