What would you do as a Planning Grant Project Director
As the Full-Time Planning Grant Project Director, you will take the lead in developing and managing the AmeriCorps planning grant, directly aligned with the Promise Neighborhoods initiative. This role requires you to coordinate and facilitate planning meetings with cross-sector partners, ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative program design. You will establish and maintain vital relationships with community partners to secure the resources and support needed for a successful AmeriCorps implementation grant application.
Additionally, you will develop innovative strategies to maximize the use of non-federal funds, directing them toward training, navigators, and incentives that enhance program effectiveness. Join us in making a profound impact on our community!
What you need to be successful
To excel as the Full-Time Planning Grant Project Director, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Education, Social Work, or Public Administration. A minimum of five years of experience in program management or community development is essential. Familiarity with AmeriCorps programs or similar national service initiatives will give you a competitive edge. A solid understanding of AmeriCorps program requirements and federal grant management is crucial for navigating the complexities of grant applications and ensuring compliance. Additionally, strong organizational and communication skills will enable you to effectively coordinate planning meetings and foster relationships with cross-sector partners, ultimately driving the success of the program and its objectives.
Your ability to strategize and implement resourceful solutions will be key to enhancing the impact of our initiatives.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, (Education, Social Work, Public Administration) required; Master's degree preferred,
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management community development or a related field.
- Previous experience with AmeriCorps programs or similar national service programs preferred.
- Knowledge of AmeriCorps program requirements and federal grant management.
