Description: Our client is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to join their dynamic team in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This role is pivotal in maintaining and improving the efficiency of the supply chain, negotiating contracts, and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in supply chain management, a knack for negotiation, and a proactive approach to improving business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a company representative in contract negotiations and supplier policy discussions.
- Serve as a liaison with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials.
- Oversee personnel actions related to sales, purchasing, distribution, and equipping clients.
- Review and complete the annual budget, updating monthly estimates as necessary.
- Ensure materials and products are received on time and meet quality and cost agreements.
- Maintain well-stocked inventory levels to fulfill customer orders and maximize investments.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
- Draft weekly and monthly reports on merchandise costs and market conditions.
- Supervise and guide planning analysts.
- Set schedules for projects and materials flow.
- Establish goals, policies, and procedures for projects.
- Communicate with managers, supervisors, and colleagues on planning matters.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Production departments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Minimum of five years of experience in supply chain management or planning.
- Proven experience managing engineers/analysts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of Google Suite.
- Experience with ERP software, preferably Epicor.
- Understanding of BOM (Bill of Material) hierarchy.
- Knowledge of the product release cycle and product life cycle management.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and contract skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Epicor ERP software.
- Advanced understanding of product life cycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to reduce costs and improve service quality.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
