The Plant Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the sand and gravel plant. The Plant Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of the sand and gravel plant. This position serves as the primary point of contact for customers and visitors, while also maintaining daily records of maintenance and preparing monthly reports. Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable:Manage all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accurate coding and consistency, and compliance with Purchase Card Policies.
- Human Resources Assistance: Collaborate with Regional HR to lead onboarding of new hires, maintenance of employee data and records, vacation tracking, leave of absence (LOA), general benefit question and other HR-related activities.
- Payroll:Oversee payroll processes for the site.
- Energy Management:Track and report on fuel and electricity usage on quarry properties.
- Safety Records:Maintain safety records and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including annual refresher training, new miner training, and site-specific training.
- Training Management:Update and maintain the Task Training Matrix and ensure contractor compliance with company mandates.
- HAZCOM Compliance:Ensure Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) is up-to-date and compliant.
- Cost Estimates:Prepare weekly and monthly cost estimates.
- Reporting:Generate and review daily, weekly, and monthly reports for accuracy, including production/sales reports, corporate financial reports, and performance reports.
- Corporate Transactions:Manage corporate transactions such as fixed assets, inventory, royalties, and taxes.
- Environmental Compliance:Conduct environmental inspections and administration, including monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections and reports. Perform environmental sampling and provide necessary training to ensure compliance.
- Public Relations:Assist the operations team with public relations activities.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including the ability to be approachable and tactful.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Ability to work independently and manage workload in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment with outstanding prioritization skills.
- Experience in ERP software (prefer SAP).
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service, ensuring all interactions are handled with professionalism.
- Ideally, have experience in a construction or manufacturing office setting.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- SAP & Microsoft Office programs
- Construction materials industry experience
