Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the plant's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Preparing and analyzing profit and loss (P&L) statements, ensuring that all financial statements accurately reflect the plant's assets and expenses.
- Managing the plant's inventory, including physical inventory, and implementing effective inventory management strategies.
- Handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Overseeing the production and analysis of financial statements, ensuring that they accurately reflect the plant's financial status.
- Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flows.
- Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures, ensuring that the plant operates within budget.
- Using ERP systems to manage and analyze financial data, and conducting root cause analysis to identify and address financial issues.
- Conducting month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Managing the plant's general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Overseeing revenue recognition processes, ensuring that all revenue is accurately recorded and recognized.
- Conducting job costing and COGS analysis, ensuring that all costs are accurately recorded and controlled.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a plant controller role or equivalent.
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience with managing plant financials, including P&L, inventory, AP, and AR.
- Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Experience with inventory management, cost saving, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and identify and address financial issues.
- Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Experience with general ledger management and revenue recognition processes.
- Strong budgeting and forecasting skills, with the ability to manage and control costs.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team and work collaboratively with other departments.
