About the Job
Overview: Our client is seeking a motivated Plant Controller to lead the accounting operations of their manufacturing plant in Latrobe, PA
This is an excellent opportunity for a developing accounting leader with 7-10 years of accounting experience within the manufacturing sector

Key Responsibilities:
Lead all accounting operations for the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, ensuring alignment with accounting standards and company policies.
Conduct cost analysis and collaborate with operations teams to track production costs, identify variances, and recommend improvements.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely, accurate reporting of financial results.
Support the development of the plant’s financial budget and provide actionable insights to help achieve company objectives.
Serve as an accounting partner to plant management, offering data-driven recommendations to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with accounting regulations.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the plant’s accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Liaise with corporate finance and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
Monitor capital expenditures and evaluate return on investment (ROI) for key projects, working closely with operations teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, and experience in analyzing production costs and identifying opportunities for operational improvements.
Highly motivated, energetic, and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-driven mindset.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building relationships across cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
