Job Title: Plant Electrician
Overview:
This position involves performing all aspects of support and repair & maintenance to electrical/control systems in a state-of-the-art automated chemical plant.
Responsibilities:
- Service, maintain and troubleshoot all electrical systems in an industrial facility. This includes plant utilities and production process equipment, Fire Alarm system, MCC’s, VFDs, PLCs, BAS, PCS, security cameras, lighting control, network communication
- Perform instrument calibrations simulating 4-20 MA or 0-10 V. Experience with ASi and Profibus PA protocols a plus.
- Service and install equipment in hazardous locations (Class 1 div 1, Class 1 div 2 and class 2 div 2)
- Must be able to work independently to efficiently solve problems.
- Assist with mechanical repairs as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Must hold at a minimum a Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician License.
- Ability to work from ladder logic diagrams and electrical schematics.
- Have a firm knowledge of Massachusetts electrical codes and be familiar with those codes that pertain to hazardous rated areas.
- Have a minimum of a high school education or GED
- Have a minimum of 5-years experience working with industrial electrical systems.
- HVAC system experience a plus
- Must be experienced troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and control problems.
- Must be physically capable of climbing ladders, lifting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs., bending and stooping as needed to perform the job.
