Plant Engineer
Summary / Job Purpose
- Working under the Technical Director, the Plant Engineer is in charge of providing technical support to the plants in order to achieve their goals.
Main Responsibilities
Managing Operations-Related Problems
- Implement and direct operating procedures and monitoring strategies to ensure uniformity and uphold Company standards.
Improve productivity/Manage projects:
- Make continual improvements to the equipment
- Help manage equipment modernization, installation and/or relocation projects
- Study production-equipment times to establish or revise production standards
- Make recommendations to optimize production processes
- Solve operations-related problems
- Perform detailed engineering and management of assigned projects
- Manage and coordinate various projects for product development and new process implementation
- Support Production, Quality, and OHS by testing, analyzing, implementing sustainable solutions and improving manufacturing processes
- Design tools and equipment for process improvement
- Ensure safety of production equipment
- Analyze and evaluate the needs of the processes and develop an architecture responding to them;
- Carry out the design and optimization of manufacturing processes, process simulations, analysis and related reports;
- Prepare engineering documentation (calculation notes, equipment specifications, reports, flow diagrams (PFDs) and pipe diagrams (P & ID));
- Communicate with the internal client as required on a project-by-project basis;
- Define the scope of projects for the discipline process and prepare budgets as required;
- Perform detailed technical design for projects;
- Perform other related duties related to his / her field of expertise;
Support maintenance:
- Provide maintenance employees with technical support
- Find solutions to recurring equipment breakdown
Accomplish other related tasks required by the job or assigned by the superior
Technical Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in chemical/mechanical engineering
- Have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in process and projects management in a related field
- Have Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial/petrochemical sector
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing process skills/experience in dealing with plants and equipment
- Able to interpret and read P&ID and other technical ache
- Have general knowledge of mechanical equipment

- Has knowledge of PLC or has the ability to Develop knowledge of PLC controls

Conditions
- Occasionally required to provide support outside of regular working hours
- Ability to work in an industrial environment while constantly remaining safety conscious
- Ability to work outside
- Ability to work at height and in confined spaces
- May have to travel between 5%- 25% of his time to support USA plants

- 40hrs/week
