ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Understand, support, and lead with Toyo values.
- Lead the continuous improvement of equipment reliability by driving PM and TPM systems in all departments.
- Develop more efficient preventive and predictive systems, with the goal of reducing overall maintenance downtime (TPM “availability loss”).
- Analyze downtime information and implement solutions to repetitive problems.
- Lead energy reduction and environmental compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the schedules and work of maintenance technicians to improve labor utilization.
- Continuously drive solutions that reduce cost, including maintenance & contractor labor, overtime, and parts consumption.
- Assessment of needs and provide necessary training for maintenance technicians and planners.
- Plans and executes preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and lead through a fact-based decision-making process.
- Ensure the Maintenance Team works closely with the Engineering, Reliability, and Capital Projects teams.
- Ensure the Maintenance Team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively.
- Manages the maintenance team in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
- Work with the Human Resources department to hire and train the maintenance team and develop the skill sets necessary for proper execution of their duties.
- Ensure performance evaluations and counseling sessions are conducted promptly and constructively.
- Translate company objectives in EHS, 5S, quality, and production into action plans.
- Follow up on permanent corrective action plans to resolve any outstanding issues related to quality, production, equipment, and production controls.
- Promote and enforce a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies and procedures.
- Define, manage, measure, and report relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the maintenance team: (1) PM Compliance, (2) Availability loss due to unplanned repair, and other KPIs as directed by the Engineering and Maintenance Manager.
- Be present at, supervise, and coordinate maintenance activities during shutdown and startup.
- Be able to respond to emergencies at the TNA facility within an hour under normal circumstances.
- Engage and support continuous learning and skills improvement for yourself and your direct reports. Keep you and your department up to date with industry standards.
- Assist the environmental manager in ensuring the plant meets health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements.
