Plant Maintenance Mechanic 

 $33.00 - $40.00 per hour/ DOE

Monday-Friday / 1st Shift

 

We are looking for a skilled Plant Maintenance Mechanic with expertise in electrical systems to join the team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality of production machines through regular maintenance and repair. Electrical expertise is crucial, and experience with spot welding and relevant certifications are desirable. Plant Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Conduct setup, troubleshooting, and repairs of production machinery to ensure peak performance.
• Perform routine maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines according to manuals and engineering specifications.
• Identify and fix malfunctions in machinery and electrical systems.
• Dismantle defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools; assess and replace parts as necessary.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for accurate repairs.
• Fabricate parts as needed using machine shop equipment.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of equipment, parts, and supplies; place and expedite orders as required.
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports 
• Perform other maintenance tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Plant Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of Mechanical Maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• At least 5 years of electrical experience, with relevant certifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of industrial machinery and maintenance practices.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, stand for significant portions of the workday, and perform bending or stooping tasks.
• Experience with spot welding is highly desirable.
