About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to oversee our facility renovations and upgrades. The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the plant, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and managing the maintenance team. This role involves developing preventive maintenance programs, managing budgets, providing technical support, and coordinating with vendors. The superintendent will also focus on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Facility Renovation Oversight: Recommend, plan, and oversee facility renovations and upgrade programs. Work closely with contractors to define Scope of work, timeline and ensure the work is completed in a timely manner.
- Facility Layout and Modifications: Work closely with the project Engineers to facility layout changes or improvements to the facilities and to update all the facilities documents with upgrades/ modifications made.
- Reporting and Compliance: Assist in daily and weekly reports on schedule adherence and cost-saving initiatives.
- Work Order Completion: Manage the completion of planned work orders, ensuring safety and providing feedback to improve renovation timing and cost of construction.
- Facility Maintenance work: Analyze issues, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions for basic HVAC, Electricity, water, sewage related issues within the facility.
- Communication: Effectively communicate plant maintenance needs and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- EHS Participation: Actively participate in environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and ensure compliance with all relevant policies.
Requirements and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years in roles that combine technical, managerial, and financial responsibilities.
- Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations relevant to plant operations and maintenance.
- Strong understanding and operational knowledge of basic utility handling and repairs.
- Ability to conduct and interpret various system analyses.
