Plant Manager - Land O'Lakes Inc.

Provide leadership to the manufacturing operations for the Massillon facility to ensure the effective management of people and utilization of resources. Responsible for production, distribution, customer service, safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, cost control, financial reporting, employee development and maintenance of the facility. Align plant objectives to Business Strategy.

• Provide leadership and supervision to a single location
  
• Successfully implement strategic business plans/goals at local level within P&L parameters
  
• Coordinate with facility supervisors and Area Sales Managers to implement the strategic plan and direction of the marketplace at the local level.
  
• Ensure that marketplace directives and national Business strategies, programs and expectations have been communicated, understood and implemented
  
• Develop close working relationships with customers and sales, work with Sales and Marketing as a Team member on product development

• Bachelor's Degree preferred (Ag Business, Food Science, Engineering preferred)
  
• 5 plus years of supervisory/management experience in processing/manufacturing operations with solid progressive leadership experience.
  
• Strong presentation, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proven track record of understanding the drivers of product and labor cost variances.
  
• Previous experience working as a team leader in a multi-faceted team is highly desirable.
  
• Feed manufacturing experience preferred
  

Competencies Skills, Abilities and Traits Required:

• Sound verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Ability to extract, analyze, and apply data from production and inventory management systems, excel, Power Point and Word.
  
• Working Knowledge of principles of automated manufacturing processing systems.
  
• Ability to utilize Master Production Schedule and Detailed Line Schedule Development to ensure delivery of scheduled production.
  
• Knowledge/implementation of Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing/5S.
