Summary:
We are seeking a Plant Manager to lead and oversee production, transportation, salvage, and waste operations across our processing locations. The successful candidate will ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations, guaranteeing the timely flow of merchandise to retail stores.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate service, stewardship, integrity, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement in all tasks.
- Lead, train, coach, and support teams to minimize risks and optimize operational performance.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving plant efficiency using data, resources, and capabilities.
- Collaborate with leadership to align donation collection, production, and internal distribution efforts to ensure maximum profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee efficient management of waste and salvage operations.
- Regularly evaluate performance and labor metrics, providing continuous training and leadership development.
- Foster a culture of professional and personal growth by working with HR and Training teams to meet organizational objectives.
- Manage conflicts across collection, production, and distribution processes to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure all work processes and safety protocols are followed to maximize efficiency.
- Complete all required reports and ensure accurate tracking of key metrics, such as donor counts and production stats.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all facilities and ensure compliance with housekeeping, safety, and security standards.
- Participate in safety efforts to reduce accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to develop best practices and standards for production management.
- Maintain company facilities, grounds, and equipment to ensure a safe and functional workspace.
- Attend assigned training sessions and travel for work, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of plant and supervisory experience, preferably in a retail setting.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with a track record of meeting deadlines and production goals.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite applications.
- Comfortable speaking to large groups.
- Valid driver's license, and forklift certification preferred.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
