Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to oversee our large manufacturing plant located just outside of St. Louis, Missouri. This facility specializes in high-speed digital and flexographic printing, rotary printing, and RFID inlay integration for customized label designs. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in manufacturing and engineering, with at least 15 years of relevant experience, including experience in rotary and flexo printing, and strong P&L management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and manage a diverse team of 50+ employees, including several direct reports, to ensure optimal performance and productivity. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the plant.
- Operations Oversight: Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes in high-speed digital and flexographic printing, rotary printing, and RFID inlay integration.
- P&L Management: Maintain responsibility for the plant’s profit and loss statements, including budgeting, cost control, and financial performance. Implement strategies to achieve financial targets and optimize profitability.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize extensive experience in rotary and flexo printing, RFID technology, and customized label designs to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the plant.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain Six Sigma methodologies and other quality improvement processes to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and protocols. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to meet production goals, address operational challenges, and drive plant growth and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational performance and reduce waste.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 15 years in manufacturing or engineering roles, with significant experience in rotary and flexo printing processes. RFID inlay integration experience is highly desirable.
- P&L Management: Demonstrated experience managing P&L statements and achieving financial targets.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of high-speed digital and flexographic printing, rotary printing, and RFID technology.
- Leadership: Proven track record of successfully managing large teams and fostering a positive work environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) are a plus.
- Location: Must be willing to work on-site at the plant location just outside of St. Louis, Missouri.
