Plant Mechanic at Professional Placement Services

We are seeking mechanics and apprentices. Entry level to skilled mechanics who are willing to work hard and learn the industry. You are an ideal candidate if you have a hard work ethic, don't mind working OT, have mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand tools. Expectation is to be developed into mechanics who will re responsible for disassembly, dimensional analysis, evaluation, repair, and assembly of various "high energy" industrial pumps.

Responsibilities:

• Dismantle pumps into individual components utilizing hand/air tools, power tools, torch sets, cranes, etc.
• Examine/Inspect components with micrometers, dial indicators, depth micrometers , hardness tester, etc.
• Complete forms and supplement with written reports of findings from inspection.
• Assemble pumps with conventional and state-of-the-art methods.
• Some day trips for field service work.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a mechanic or pump experience is a PLUS
• exposure to or knowledge of shop equipment like micrometers, torque wrenches, oxy/acetylene torches, overhead cranes, tow-motors, and other industrial tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
