Plant Quality Manager (with opportunity to move to Director in 12 months)
Overview:
Our client, a leading manufacturer of nitrile gloves, is seeking an experienced Plant Quality Manager to enhance and oversee quality control on the production floor. This role is key in maintaining high product standards and offers significant growth potential, including a path to a Director-level role within 12 months based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain quality assurance policies to meet industry and regulatory standards.
- Monitor production processes to identify and resolve quality issues in real-time.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the quality control team, providing training and support.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with documentation and internal/external auditing requirements.
- Handle customer and vendor concerns related to quality, maintaining strong relationships.
- Present detailed quality reports, analyzing trends to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; Master's or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) preferred.
- 5+ years of quality management experience in manufacturing, ideally in the glove or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance methods and regulatory standards.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
