Essential Duties and
Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
Process Tech will assist in the evaluation of manufacturing and quality processes for new products and modifications of existing products.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist engineers to evaluate the technical feasibility of new product concepts and technical modifications to existing products.
Can troubleshoot on injection molding machines and secondary equipment.
Assist in setting up new injection molding machines.
This could include traveling to manufacturing site to perform a run-off of the new injection molding machine.
Able to troubleshoot on gantry robot programs of picking parts from the injection molding machine.
Be willing to be sent to Sepro classes to learn how to program/troubleshoot gantry robots.- Must detail-oriented when sampling new tools or performing DOEs.
- Will be in charge of sampling new molds and develop process of using scientific molding principles.
May travel to tool shop to perform a run-off of a new injection molding tools.- Monitor processing equipment and production downtime.
- Evaluate improvements to equipment and implement changes.
Perform evaluations on mold setters and assist in training of new mold setters.
Reads blueprint and bill of materials (BOM) for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions, and materials.
Skills/Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
5 or more years of experience in a plastics manufacturing with scientific molding processing knowledge. Is a certified Master Molder- I from RJG (if not certified RJG Master Molder I need to be willing to go for the training within the 1st 6 months)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Computer literate with Microsoft Office Suite.
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
The employee is frequently required to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Candidates would be expected to provide toolbox and own basic tools
