Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Shifts Available: 2nd or 3rd Shift

Job Description:
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, build, and install equipment for our global plants. Our portfolio includes ASRS systems, automated conveyors, pallet elevators, stackers/destackers, pallet turntables, automatic labelers, shipping trailers, and build line integration.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and protocols (e.g., safety harnesses, fork trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, LOTO).
- Foster mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Communicate effectively across cross-functional groups.
- Manage projects from technical specification to startup support.
- Design and develop electrical control systems, equipment, and programming using company standards and innovative ideas.
- Write, implement, and debug PLC software.
- Provide support for existing automated equipment globally.
- Develop predictive maintenance indicators to increase reliability and reduce downtime (CBM, Industry 4.0).
- Create contingency and disaster recovery plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a controls engineering role at an automation/machine build shop.
- Self-starter, team player, with a positive attitude.
- Creative thinker, results-oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy.
- Expertise in RSLogix5000, Studio5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio.
- Knowledge of I/O link, AB components, drive control, and Keyence cameras.
- Ability to read and create electrical drawings in AutoCAD.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Understanding and communication of applicable safety standards: general industry, machine guarding, robot safety, automated vehicles, conveyor safety.
- Willingness to work long hours during installations, if required.
