Title: PLC Controls Engineer - Assembly & Gauging Automation
Selectek has a full-time opportunity for a passionate and detail-oriented PLC Controls Engineer to join a leader in testing and automation products for the automotive industry!

In this role, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our state-of-the-art assembly and gauging machinery. You'll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a project, from programming and debugging PLCs and HMIs to collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.

In this role, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing control systems for our state-of-the-art assembly and gauging machinery. You'll be responsible for the entire lifecycle of a project, from programming and debugging PLCs and HMIs to collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
What You'll Do:
- Design, program, and commission PLC control systems for single and multi-station assembly and gauging systems.
- Develop user-friendly Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for intuitive machine operation.
- Configure SCADA systems for data acquisition and monitoring.
- Integrate and program motion control systems for precise machine operation.
- Possess a strong understanding of networking protocols like Ethernet IP.
- Work closely with program managers, mechanical designers, and manufacturing personnel throughout the project lifecycle.
- Take ownership of assigned stations post-assembly, troubleshooting and optimizing for peak performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience programming PLCs
- Experience with Allen Bradley RS Logic 5000
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechatronic systems and components.
- Strong understanding of Step and State Logic.
- Experience with Panel View Plus, Panel Builder 32, and SCADA configuration.
- Mechanical aptitude and a meticulous work ethic.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
A plus if you have:
- Siemens
- Experience with Fanuc & ABB robot programming
- Experience with powertrain systems
