PLC Programmer - Selectek, Inc.

We have an immediate need for a PLC Programmer in the Santa Clara, CA area.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design, configuration and integration of gas detection and chemical dispense control systems.
• Provide setup and startup of hardware and software for the PLC, variable frequency drives, control and communications networks and other electrical hardware and software.

Required:

• 5 + years   experience    in    PLC  programming  
• Proficiency    with    multiple    manufacturers    automation    hardware    and    software    including,   
  but    not    limited    to,    Allen    Bradley,    Automation    Direct,    G.E.,    Modicon,    WonderWare,   
  Indusoft,    Ignition    &    SCADA    development
• Experience    reading    and    modifying    electrical    control    schematics
• Knowledge    of    safety    protocols
• Create    and    read    logic    and    flow    diagrams    for    program    design,    programming,    simulation,   
  testing    and    start-up
• Capable    of    system    monitoring,    debugging    and    troubleshooting    operational    problems   
• Specify,    design    and    build    programs    to    be    installed    on    the    equipment   
• Select    and    configure    other    automation    devices,    such    as    VFDs    for    automation/control
• Modify existing    programs    for    specific    customer    requirements   
• Provide    guidance    to    Field    Service    Engineers    in    programming,    repair,    installation    and   
  maintenance    of    PLC    systems
• Ability    to    problem-solve,    serve    as    an    advisor,    and    develop    operating    procedures   
• Candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work with limited supervision, and possess strong communications skills to effectively communicate with clients, vendors and colleagues.

Preferred:

• Strong    knowledge    of    manufacturing    processes    preferred

Salary:  $95-$110K
Location:  Santa Clara, CA
Duration:  Permanent
