Title: Controls Technician
Location: Lebanon, IN
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Target Pay Rate: $80K-$90K
Position Summary:
This plant-based role is responsible for supporting electrical and controls engineering initiatives. The Controls Technician will assist in controls programming, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and support of automation systems, ensuring smooth operation of equipment and plant functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform controls programming, system diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Assist the engineering team with automation system troubleshooting, particularly during new equipment installations and start-up processes.
- Manage all technical automation software related to plant operations.
- Ensure that all electrical and control systems align with safety and electrical standards.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience:
- Engineering degree, technical school graduate, or equivalent experience in electrical and control systems.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety.
- Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficiency in computer and networking systems.
- PLC, HMI, and VFD programming experience
- Strong understanding of electrical standards and power distribution systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to read and modify electrical schematics.
- Experience with AutoCAD (preferred).
- Teamwork & Communication:
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and collaborate with various departments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Software & Hardware:
- Experience with Rockwell and Schneider automation products.
- Familiarity with networking hardware.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Rockwell Automation programming software.
- Travel Requirements:
- Ability and willingness to travel to OEM vendor sites, as needed.
