Join our team as a Maintenance and Operations Specialist! We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the maintenance and operation of critical building systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee operation, repair, and preventive maintenance of building steam, water, and plumbing systems
• Monitor and maintain heating, cooling, and water equipment
• Troubleshoot and respond to operational and emergency situations
• Communicate effectively with facility managers and work order requestors
• Schedule equipment downtime to minimize impact on end users
• Prioritize and assign work orders efficiently
• Track completion rates and drive team efficiency
• Coordinate with facility managers and contracted maintenance workers
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Identify and remediate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) issues
• Comply with established training standards and policies

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in general piping/plumbing systems, cage washers, steam traps, heat exchangers, and control valves
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and boiler controls/operation

Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred requirements:

• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and relevant software (MS Office, Outlook, DataStream)
• Experience with building automation systems
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience in facilities management or related field

On-site –Houston, TX
