Walker Baptist Medical Center: Located in Jasper, this facility is equipped with 267 beds and specializes in cardiology; orthopedics, including rehabilitation; psychiatric care; urology; and detox therapy.
Job Summary
Maintains building plumbing fixtures and systems. Facilitates repairs, replacement and upgrades to all plumbing systems to ensure a safe and functional facility.
Job Responsibilities
Under general direction, inspects, installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas and drainage systems of the hospital. Installs new plumbing system components, faucets, sinks, toilets, valves, etc. Assists Director in planning for expansion/renovation projects, and forecasting operating budget and capital needs. Performs other related tasks to the maintenance, service, repair, testing, inspection and installation of plumbing/piping systems and components; maintenance of inventory parts and supplies. May provide assistance to other maintenance personnel in performing repair and service functions. At management’s discretion, performs other related duties consistent with minimum level of preparation and training required and department demands/needs.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred: Graduate of trade or vocational school in related field
Experience
Required: Five years of progressive experience with a plumbing or construction company or experience in a commercial or hospital service environment.
Certifications
Required: Master plumbers license
