Genius Talent is partnering with a leading construction company to find a skilled Plumbing Superintendent with 6-8 years of experience. This key role is based in Goldsboro, NC, and includes responsibilities in surrounding counties.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all phases of plumbing projects from planning to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
- Supervise the digging, installation, testing, and backfilling of underground sanitary and grease piping
- Direct the rough-in of new drain waste and vent (DWV) and domestic water piping
- Manage the installation of roof drains and storm drainage piping
- Oversee the threading, installation, and testing of building gas piping
- Supervise the brazing, installation, and servicing of medical gas piping
- Coordinate the installation of various plumbing fixtures, including water closets, urinals, lavatories, sinks, and drinking fountains
- Oversee the installation of plumbing equipment such as water heaters, boilers, storage tanks, recirculation pumps, booster pumps, tankless water heaters, sump pumps, and water filtration systems
- Guide the team in additional tasks like brazing, threading pipe, grooving, soldering, and welding
- Interpret and review construction and coordination drawings using Procore and other construction software on tablets
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
- Enforce all safety regulations on the job site
- Mentor and train less experienced crew members
- Report directly to the Project Manager and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in plumbing
- Capable of performing physical tasks and lifting items up to 50 lbs
- Punctual with consistent attendance for scheduled workdays and times
- Experience with Hilti-Trimbel Total Station Layout is highly desirable
- Possession of OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications is advantageous
- All necessary equipment, hand tools, and power tools will be provided
