Position Overview:
Swan is needing Plumbing Apprentices to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for Plumbing systems in residential settings. You will use advanced diagnostic tools to ensure optimal system performance and deliver exceptional service to our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System Installation: Assist Lead Installer in Cutting, assembling, and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring); be efficient and accurate. Assist lead in maintaining a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck
- Dexterity: Plumbing Apprentices need good manual dexterity to manipulate small parts and reach into small spaces.
- Mechanical Skills: Use a variety of plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
- Strength: Plumbing installers need strength to lift heavy parts and equipment.
- Time-Management: Be able to complete work efficiently in in a timely fashion. Home-owners want Plumbing systems repaired quickly.
- Troubleshooting: There are many parts within Plumbing systems. Being able to ascertain the root cause of a problem and test solutions is important.
- Quick Learner: Able to learn and grasp new concepts quickly.
- Motivation: A desire to grow and succeed. Having a positive "can do" attitude
- Team Player: Must be willing to work well within a team environment
- Customer interaction: Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Safety and compliance: Follow all safety standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used. Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High school diploma or GED; completion of a relevant HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and at heights; physical stamina and dexterity.
