DAY-TO-DAY FOR OUR PLUMBING PROJECT MANAGER
This full-time operations management position typically works from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
As a Plumbing Project Manager, you work closely with our owner to ensure that every project we undertake is a complete success.
Your main responsibility is overseeing all aspects of the jobs we perform for our customers, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Every day, you work tirelessly to make sure that personnel, equipment, and materials are allocated appropriately, and that the schedule accurately reflects the work that needs to be accomplished. Communication is key in this role; you are in constant contact with our field supervisors to receive progress updates and help troubleshoot any issues that arise.
But that's not all - you're also responsible for leading our team to achieve their full potential. You participate in team meetings, define and measure KPIs, and provide coaching and training to our technicians and apprentices. REQUIREMENTS FOR A PLUMBING PROJECT MANAGER
- Required: A minimum of five years of project management experience, with at least two years of supervisory experience
- Plumbing license or equivalent experience preferred
- Preferred: College degree in management, industrial engineering, or related field
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Must have powerful communication skills, both verbal and written (in English) to interact with clients, employees, vendors, and professionals
- Must be able to understand and use financial statements and interpret data from the various company report cards and dashboards
- The use of analytical and observational skills which demonstrate an ability to organize, direct, budget, control, and manage construction projects and customer site operations
- Establish material, labor, and job completion objectives and the means of accomplishment to meet Benchmark site and Direct Cost goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The employee must have the ability to lift 50 lbs
- Must have a full range of motion including the use of his/her hands to fingers, handle, and feel objects such as computer equipment
- Must have to ability to bend the body, reach for objects, and to crouch when needed
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This Operations Management position will be working indoors and will require the employee to travel to project job sites on a frequent basis. From this movement, the employee will encounter varying climates and conditions, and may be exposed to inclement weather, and significant temperature swings. Will also work in a climate controlled, enclosed office facility. Workdays will be from 8 to 12 hours per day and could include some early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
