General Responsibility:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for identifying and analyzing external opportunities and threats to the organization within a specific territory. To supply a steady flow of revenue generating sale in order to meet the goals of the division and goals of the company. Must be knowledgeable with local market, and experience within the Residential Homebuilding Industry.
Significant Duties:
- Determine if an advertised project fits within our scope of work
- Responsible for creating bid file
- Responsible for procuring all information needed to accurately create a formal bid proposal.
- Analyses specifications and other documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Responsible for prospecting, estimating, presenting, and closing new business within the given parameters.
- Communicate with wholesales and vendors for pricing on required material and fixtures
- Provide timely feedback regarding progress, market conditions, and competitors to the Sales Manager and other members of the Sales Team and upper management.
- Responsible for reviewing contract documents and proposing edits as needed.
- Assist with updating SAGE with new jobs and closing jobs as needed.
- Expected to meet or exceed personal sales goals set every year.
- Track sales performance to ensure established goals and quotas are met
- Price contract extracts on demand for various items in scope of work
- Collaborate with all internal departments to ensure that the projects run smoothly.
- Trouble shoot as needed when issues arise throughout the course of construction.
- Develop strong customer relationships, built on trust, through regular strategic interactions and a commitment to serve the customer.
- Other Duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required,
- Minimum of 3-5 years of local market experience within the Residential, Homebuilding Industry, construction experience preferred.
- California Class C Driver License, with good DMV record is required.
- Must be organized, able to multitask and manage competing priorities while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- A forward thinking, perceptive individual, capable of influencing others and effectively interacting with individuals at all levels of the Company. Excellent customer service skills and team oriented.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize/multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- An enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment
- Flexibility, adaptability and ability to shift priorities based on the organizations’ needs.
- Self-motivated and able to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions, take ownership/accountability and operate with minimal supervision.
- Integrity, professionalism, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality essential.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint ability to collaborate at all levels
- Flexibility to travel as needed.
- Committed to continuous improvement and a willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
Sales Account Manager involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for periods of time. May occasionally travel to jobsites for a walkthrough, and would require the ability to walk on uneven unclean terrain for several hours. May attend outside events and travel for building event, which may require overnight stays.
